Planning

The meeting will start on Saturday, September 6 late afternoon with registration, followed by dinner and an informal get-together of the participants. The last full day of the programme is Tuesday, September 9 and check-outs and departures are scheduled for September 10, 2014. Please plan your flights accordingly: arrival September 6th morning/early afternoon, departure September 10 afternoon (if possible after 2 p.m.). Please keep in mind that there will be no airport shuttle available on September 9th.

Hotel reservations will be completed by the organizers according to room type indicated in your registration form. We have reserved a range of rooms in the 4-star and the 3-star hotel for our participants. There is thus no need for you to make hotel arrangements with the Bernardin Resort for yourself. If you wish to prolong your stay elsewhere, please take care of your accommodation individually. A free conference shuttle will be organized on September 6 and September 10, 2014 for transfers from/to the airport.

Advance fee payment will be possible by bank transfer, cheque or credit cards. Advance payment deadline is May 31, 2014.

Visa Requirements

For citizens of many but not all countries, a valid passport (or personal identity card for residents of EU) is sufficient to enter Slovenia. Participants are advised to check visa requirements at the nearest Slovene embassy or consulate. Information on visas and addresses of Slovene embassies are available on the web site of the Slovene Ministry of Foreign Affairs at http://www.mzz.gov.si.

Participants who need a visa to enter Slovenia have to request a Letter of Guarantee which will be prepared by the Organising Committee. The visa cannot be obtained without a Letter of Guarantee, which is intended to facilitate participant’s visa arrangements only, and does not imply the provision of any financial or other support.

The organiser is authorised to demand payment of registration fee before the visa procedure starts. Please note that all costs are to be covered by the participant (verification tax and DHL post costs if needed).
